With Labor Day arriving tomorrow, it is crucial to keep this in mind: Although we rest on this day, the Lord does not! He shall continue to work within us and around us. May we be forever grateful for His works. The Lord’s good words are not the only proof of His labor. Look at the creations around you: the sounds of nature, the beautiful views, and yourself. Every living being was created in God’s perfect image, along with being blessed with the same purpose of loving others and serving our father.
Proverbs 14:23 “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk only leads to poverty”.
God’s Word is full of many promises and His works have fulfilled these declarations. He will continue to be the just and loving Lord that He is through His hard labor. He should inspire us to be true to our own works and find satisfaction in earning our riches.
Acts 20:35 “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Many tend to get greedy when they see that their hard work is paying off. They begin to think of only themselves, and the money clouds their mind. Remember to always remember your roots, and remember who gave you this opportunity in the first place. God! Wash the feet of others and help all those you can. Being the wealthiest person on earth doesn’t always mean having the most amount of money- sometimes it means being the happiest.
